I am writing to make you aware of the actions Lindsay & Brownell, LLP (“L&B”) is taking with respect to the COVID-19 (“coronavirus”) health concern.

Our highest priority, as always, is to protect the health of our employees and clients while continuing to deliver outstanding service, especially at this busy time of the year. Our team continues to monitor the updates daily and will follow all recommendations from the World Health Organization (“WHO”), U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (“CDC”) as well as local authorities.

In an effort of high caution, we are emphasizing a number of proactive firm protocols including those listed below:

Employee and Client Health
We encourage all clients and team members to take care of themselves and their families. Therefore, we have mandated that employees must stay home if they are showing acute signs of illness, or if they are aware of having recently been exposed to individuals with suspected or confirmed COVID-19. Additionally, we understand that employees may need to tend to sick family members, especially those in higher risk categories (e.g., young children and seniors) or those whose routine has been impacted (e.g., temporary school closures). We are working closely with our employees to provide the necessary flexibility to care for themselves and their families.

Social Distancing
We encourage clients to participate in telephone or video conferencing meetings, in lieu of face-to-face communication where possible. To the extent that a face-to-face meeting is needed, we ask that clients who are showing any signs of illness to reschedule their meeting for a later date. In addition to limiting external client meetings, we are also limiting the number of large internal meetings. Remote Workforce
In the event that a more remote workforce becomes necessary, we will continue to maintain ongoing operations. We have made substantial investments in technology, collaboration tools and secure virtual networks which provide us with flexibility as to where and how we work.

Personal Hygiene and Office Cleanliness
We are reminding our team to maintain personal hygiene habits (e.g., washing hands frequently for at least 20 seconds and minimizing face-touching), and are also frequently sanitizing common areas and personal offices. We are in communication with our building management team as well, who is taking similar steps in our building’s public spaces.

We anticipate that our team will continue to function at a high level and will remain on target to meet all filing deadlines this spring.
